What is escrow and how does it protect your online deals?

Escrow is the simplest way to buy and sell online without trusting a stranger with your money. Here is exactly how it works.

How escrow protects online deals

When you buy from someone you have never met, the biggest question is always the same: who goes first? If the buyer pays first, the seller could vanish. If the seller ships first, the buyer could disappear. Escrow removes that risk entirely.

With escrow, the buyer pays into a secure account held by DealPilot — not the seller. The money sits there safely while the seller delivers. Only when the buyer confirms everything is as agreed does DealPilot release the funds. If something goes wrong, the payment can be refunded or fairly split through a dispute.

The result is a deal where neither side has to go first on trust alone. Both are protected, from the first offer to the final payment.
